Global Teaching Partners needed a new website to attract more qualified applicants, clarify their application process, and create a professional, cohesive brand. Their previous site lacked clear navigation, an engaging user journey, and consistent branding.

 

Approach

We refreshed their brand with a warm, inviting color palette, authentic photography, and professional typography, reorganized the site’s navigation for intuitive user flows, and built a custom Vue-based application form with dynamic logic. The improved application workflow seamlessly integrated into their backend, reducing user errors.

 

Results

The new website improved the quality and quantity of applications, with fewer unqualified submissions and a better experience for users. GTP now has a polished, high-performing digital presence that aligns with their mission of connecting educators across the globe.

Connecting Educators across the Globe

Global Teaching Partners (GTP) connects educators from around the globe with teaching opportunities in the southeastern United States. Their mission of fostering global educational exchange required a website that could effectively communicate their program’s strengths while guiding potential applicants through the process. They approached us with three clear goals: improve user experience to increase qualified applicants, modernize their application process, and establish a cohesive and professional brand identity that reflects their global mission.

Improving Navigation and User Experience to Drive Applications

GTP's original website lacked a structured user journey. The placement of "Apply" buttons was inconsistent, and key applicant requirements were scattered across the site, leading to incomplete or unqualified submissions. We restructured the website navigation, reducing clutter and organizing content into clear categories with intuitive subpages. Pages were designed with chunked content and clear visual hierarchy, ensuring applicants could easily locate essential information such as eligibility requirements. We reorganized information around the user journey, from initial learning about the program, through a guided application process, all the way through to submission.

Modernizing the Application Process

The embedded form for applications was cumbersome and visually disconnected from the website. The process didn’t guide users effectively and lacked interactivity. A custom Vue-based application form was developed, featuring conditional logic that tailored the experience based on user inputs. This dynamic approach reduced user errors and improved data collection. The form seamlessly integrates with Podio via a JSON data pipeline, streamlining the application review process for GTP staff.

Strategic Brand Refresh

The existing brand suffered from inconsistencies in fonts, colors, and visuals. This lack of cohesion detracted from GTP's credibility and limited its ability to engage qualified applicants. We developed a vibrant and professional color palette paired with modern, consistent typography to establish a warm, welcoming identity. Subtle visual elements, like flags next to applicants' names to represent their countries of origin, reinforced the global nature of GTP's mission. Authentic photography was prioritized, showcasing real educators and team members to highlight the human connection central to GTP’s work.
