Grogo's children's learning app needed a ground-up rebuild — and a partner who would keep business goals, not just feature lists, at the center of the work.
Across the Grogo 2.0 engagement we redesigned and rebuilt the mobile app for iOS and Android — new question mechanics, onboarding, parent tools, and character animation — alongside a redesigned marketing site.
Grogo launched on schedule across the Apple App Store, Google Play, and a new grogo.com, and the partnership continues into ongoing support and the next phase of growth.
A learning app, reimagined
Grogo is a children’s learning app that turns everyday curiosity into a game — short, illustrated question challenges that keep kids engaged while parents follow their progress. The team came to Savas with a clear goal: take an existing product and rebuild it into something they could confidently launch and grow.
Our work spanned the full Grogo 2.0 engagement — enhancing the mobile app on both iOS and Android, and redesigning the marketing site at grogo.com.
New ways to answer
At the heart of Grogo is the question. We designed and built a richer set of question mechanics — including toggle and drag-and-drop interactions — each with clear correct- and incorrect-answer feedback states. The result is a more varied, more playful experience that holds a young learner’s attention across longer sessions.
Built for kids and parents alike
We redesigned onboarding so new families could get started quickly, and rebuilt the parent-facing side of the app — including a dashboard for tracking a child’s progress. Grogo had to work for two audiences at once, and the new design speaks to both.
A cast that brings learning to life
Grogo’s characters carry the app’s personality. We integrated a library of character art and animations across the question and feedback screens, giving every interaction — right or wrong — a moment of delight.
Shipped to every screen
We took Grogo through QA and release on both the Apple App Store and Google Play, and launched the redesigned marketing site at grogo.com. The app went to market on schedule, on every platform.
